    Picture 2The much awaited film of the season, Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Pamilya” starring Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby, Ai ai delas Alas, Joseph Estrada, and Dionisia Pacquaio is finally showing in Philippine theaters starting Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

    Synopsis — After their two-year long distance relationship, Charlie (Toni Gonzaga) gets the surprise of her life with a visit from the US-based Prince (Sam Milby), who proposes marriage. This prompts the excitement of Charlie’s mother, Sunshine (AiAi delas Alas), who is also expecting her own church wedding, a promise given to her by husband Dindo (Joseph Estrada) for their 25th wedding anniversary. But Dindo vehemently disapproves both weddings to take place, so Charlie and the ever-supportive Sunshine help Prince win the acceptance of Dindo. Getting Dindo’s approval is not the only issue, this young, naive couple has to face. The wedding preparations are not going smoothly, as fueled by the arrival of Prince nouveau riche mother, Marlene (Dionisia Pacquiao), who wants things done her way.

    This would be Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby’s reunion movie after the blockbuster hit movies “You Are The One,” “You Got Me,” and “My Big Love.”

    The film is directed by Wenn V. Deramas and also starring Candy Pangilinan, DJ Durano, K Brosas, Miguel Fastmann, Janus del Prado, AJ Perez, Thou Reyes, Empoy Marquez, Igi Boy Flores, Carla Humphries, Tessie Moreno, Carl Camo, Miguelito de Guzman and with the special participation of Jinggoy Estrada.

    Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Pamilya” will be showing in Philippine theaters on November 11, 2009 starring Joseph Estrada, Ai-ai Delas Alas, Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby and Aling Dionesia Pacquiao.

    This would be Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby’s reunion movie after their blockbuster movies “You Are The One,” “You Got Me,” and “My Big Love.”

    Release of new Toni Gonzaga film might be delayed

    ABS-CBN News has reported that the release of Toni Gonzaga’s upcoming movie might be delayed after 29 Star Cinema crew members were involved in the sinking of passenger ship SuperFerry 9 last Sunday, September 6, 2009. Fernando “Ronnie” Estrada, cameraman for Star Cinema, died during the said maritime accident.

    According the film director, Wenn Deramas, shooting for “Ang Tanging Pamilya” would only resume after the 28 Star Cinema crew members recover from their traumatic experience. The crew members are now in Manila and are being given medical attention and also undergoing counseling. Cast member and Former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada has promised to give assistance to the family of the late Fernando “Ronnie” Estrada.

    The film is scheduled to be shown in theaters nationwide on October 14, 2009.

    “Wala pang kalahati [ang nasho-shoot sa movie]… Hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ang October 14 play date,” he told reporters during a special mass for the Star Cinema crew on Wednesday at ABS-CBN’s Dolphy Theater.

    “Ang Tanging Pamilya” also stars Sam Milby, Ai-ai delas Alas, Former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, and Dionisia Pacquiao.

    After the blockbuster hit movies “You Are The One,” “You Got Me,” and “My Big Love,” Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby are back together on the big screen! Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga are currently busy filming their new Star Cinema movie with Ai-ai delas Alas, Former President Erap Estrada and Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao that will hit Philippine cinemas soon!

    In fact, actor Sam Milby has expressed his excitement over his upcoming reunion project with actress/singer/TV Host Toni Gonzaga.

    “I’m excited kasi siyempre like Toni said maganda ang chemistry namin and fun lagi sa set,” Sam Milby told ABS-CBN News during the shooting of the movie.

    The actor also dismissed rumors and speculations that he and Toni Gonzaga are not on good terms. “OK na OK kami,” he said.

    The actor also said that they really enjoy working together especially with the presence of the film’s lead stars, Concert and Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and the comebacking actor former president Joseph “Erap” Estrada.

    Sam Milby plays the role of a son to newbie actress Dionisia Pacquiao, mother of boxing champion Manny Pacquaio.

    Sam Milby will fall in love with the character played by Gonzaga, who is the only daughter of Ai-ai delas Alas and Joseph “Erap” Estrada.
